Proper Lady

Occasionally I have this sudden realization that DeviantArt still exists, generally when I'm talking to someone about it or my art, and then each time I figure hey maybe it'd be a good idea to upload my actual art to an actual art site instead of dumping it all on my photobucket because what is logic
So, here I am, once again remembering that I still have a lot of stuff I never bothered to upload because I suck c:

This one's been a long time coming; I started working on it god knows how many years ago, and kept putting it off because the amount of work that went into certain details made me too frustrated to want to continue @_____@
The doll itself has actually been finished for like 2.5 years now, but I never uploaded it because I actually have plans for a background; however, since I just haven't had the time to work on it lately and I'm woefully out of touch with pixeling, I figured I might as well upload the background-less version for now so that I at least have something to show for all that work >_______>;;

There's a few areas I'm a bit iffy about, like her hair, the flow of her sleeve and the bottom of the overskirt, but by the time I got this far I was just beyond done with trying to fix it for the umpteenth time, so it's staying the way it is.
Maybe if I ever go back to doing that background I'll try and smooth the problem areas out~
Overall I'm ridiculously proud of this one though, even after so many years, because I made a fullbody thing out of a portrait base and also had to teach myself how to use various techniques like patterns and laces and whatnot and also I actually finished it, sorta, kinda ;_________;

All pixeling was done in MS Paint, making the background transparent was done in GIMP.

Base is by the lovely mariiiis-dolls, it's called Virginia and can be found on her site.
I also had a lot of help from this tutorial by Breebles, definitely worth checking out if you want to add patterns to your pixeling!
Everything else was done by yours truly~
